    • Leo Perez, Stryker & Company
    • Diedra Silbert, Town of Ridgway
    • Preston Neill, Town of Ridgway
  • The crew has been making great progress, highlighted by stair tower B going up.
  • The crew will start pouring all the foundations around stair tower A and then backfilling by the end of the week.
  • The masons will move from stair tower B to stair tower A late next week.
  • Stryker is planning to meet with reps from SMPA to discuss the electrical work that needs to be done, as well as the boxes that need to be laid in the right-of-way.
  • Stryker explained that a series of street and alley closures will be needed for various work in the Town right-of-way. Brian Kail said Stryker will soon begin communicating with area residents about these closures (with Town assistance), including timelines and impacts. Below is a list of durations for installing the storm water underground piping from Charles St. up Cora St. down the alley north of Kate’s Place to the intersection of the alley west of Kate’s Place:
    • Excavate and install the Detention Outlet Structure on site. We will need to temporarily close the alley at the intersection of the alleys to deliver the structure. We will have a crane set up on site and pick the structure off the truck and place into the excavation.  3 days this will affect off site approx. 1-2hours.
    • Storm water structures and piping starting on the corner of Charles St. and Cora St. and working towards the alley between Charles St. and Clinton St. Towards the end of this construction we will close down the alley. 6 days
    • Storm water piping and structures starting at Cora St. and heading west towards the intersection of the two alleys northwest of Kate's Place. We are planning to also install the electrical infrastructure in the alleys at this time. Alley would be closed. 10 days
    • We will be closing half the alley at a time between Kate’s Place and the jobsite. This will be for preparing the subgrade to pave the alley. It will take approximately 4 days for each shut down, north half then south half. Then, later, the entire alley will need to be shut down to place concrete and lay new asphalt.
    • We will then need to close Laura St. from the alley north of project to Clinton street to install the new manhole that is on the plans in Laura St. We will also be completing the electrical underground at that time. 2 Weeks
  • The sign intended for the corner of Charles St. and Laura St. to help prevent vehicles from turning onto Laura St. went in on August 16th. Stryker and Town staff discussed deploying another sign on the other side of Laura St.
  • The September 8th S2C Construction Update meeting has been cancelled due to a conflict with the Ridgway Town Council meeting. The next meeting will take place on September 22nd at 5:30p.
